Where to buy
Lowe's garage doors — what you actually pay
A 16x7 sectional steel door fitted runs about $2,130 – $4,350 wherever you buy it, and $2,630 – $5,350 insulated. The difference between buying it at Lowe's and buying it from a local company is not really the money.
What Lowe's is good at
Much the same as Home Depot, with Pella and Clopay lines and a straightforward installed-price quote.
What people find out afterwards
Same subcontracted model, and the installer's own warranty on the labour is often shorter than a local company's. Haul-away of the old door is sometimes extra.
How it works
Buying a garage door from Lowe's
Close enough to Home Depot's that the choice between them is rarely about process. Configure or consult in store, book a measure, get a firm installed price, then a fitting date. Where they often differ is in giving an installed price rather than a door price, which makes the quote easier to compare against a local company's.
Who actually fits it. A subcontracted local installer, same model. The difference worth knowing is that the labour warranty on a subcontracted install belongs to whoever did the labour, and that is usually shorter than the manufacturer's warranty on the door itself. Two different clocks on the same job.
What the price covers. More often a genuine installed price than a door price, which is the single most useful thing about buying here. Still worth asking directly whether taking the old door away is in it, because that is the line that most often sits outside.

Afterwards
If something goes wrong
The same split as any retailer-plus-subcontractor arrangement: product problems are easy, workmanship problems need you to be clear from the start about who is responsible for what. Get the installer's name and their own warranty in writing on the day.
Verdict
Who Lowe's is right for
Somebody who wants a package price they can compare, without wanting to manage a project. If you are getting three quotes and one of them is a local firm, this is the one that is easiest to put next to it fairly.

The bit that is the same either way
Fitting does not get cheaper
| Line | Typical | |
|---|---|---|
| Fitting, springs and tracks | $980 | A crew and most of a day, wherever the door came from. |
| Old door out and away | $410 | Often quoted separately by a big box. Ask. |
The number to compare is the INSTALLED price with the old door taken away, not the price on the tag. A door that is $200 cheaper and $300 to haul the old one is not cheaper.

Find an installer
Buying the door is the easy half
A door bought from a store is fitted by whoever that store subcontracts that week. We are the crew, not a call centre — the same two installers on every job, doing this since 2019.
New doors and replacements
New doors and replacements across central Florida — Tampa, Orlando, Lakeland, Winter Haven, Kissimmee, Clermont, and everywhere between.
Repairs and service
Repairs and service within 40 miles of Sebring — Avon Park, Lake Placid, Wauchula, Arcadia, Lake Wales, Bartow, Frostproof and Winter Haven.
A tighter area on purpose. A broken spring needs somebody the same day, and an hour each way is not the same day.
Outside both? Put your ZIP in below anyway. We will pass it to somebody who covers you, or tell you plainly that we cannot — which beats waiting on a call that was never coming.
