Where to buy
Menards garage doors — what you actually pay
A 16x7 sectional steel door fitted runs about $2,130 – $4,350 wherever you buy it, and $2,630 – $5,350 insulated. The difference between buying it at Menards and buying it from a local company is not really the money.
What Menards is good at
Usually the cheapest door on the shelf, and the rebate cycle can make it cheaper still.
What people find out afterwards
Largely a supply business — you are often buying a door and finding your own fitter, which means two conversations and nobody owning the result.
How it works
Buying a garage door from Menards
This is a supply business first. You are buying a door — often the cheapest door in any of these four, and cheaper again inside a rebate cycle — and installation is not the default assumption. Many people leave with a door and a problem they have not thought about yet.
Who actually fits it. Usually you, or a fitter you find yourself. That is not a criticism: a competent independent installer fitting a door you supplied is a perfectly normal job and often the cheapest way to a good result. But it is two conversations rather than one, and nobody owns the outcome end to end.
What the price covers. The door. Read anything beyond that as a separate purchase. The rebate, which is a real saving, is also a delayed one — it arrives as store credit rather than money back, which is worth knowing before it is the reason you chose here.

Afterwards
If something goes wrong
A supplied-and-fitted-separately door is the hardest case in this whole comparison. If the door is faulty that is the shop; if the fitting is wrong that is the fitter; and if the door does not run properly it can take somebody experienced to say which of the two it was. Choose your fitter carefully and the problem mostly disappears.
Verdict
Who Menards is right for
Somebody who already has a fitter, or who is fitting a shop or barn door themselves and knows what a torsion spring does. On price alone this is frequently the winner, and for the right buyer that is the whole story.

The bit that is the same either way
Fitting does not get cheaper
| Line | Typical | |
|---|---|---|
| Fitting, springs and tracks | $980 | A crew and most of a day, wherever the door came from. |
| Old door out and away | $410 | Often quoted separately by a big box. Ask. |
The number to compare is the INSTALLED price with the old door taken away, not the price on the tag. A door that is $200 cheaper and $300 to haul the old one is not cheaper.

Find an installer
Buying the door is the easy half
A door bought from a store is fitted by whoever that store subcontracts that week. We are the crew, not a call centre — the same two installers on every job, doing this since 2019.
New doors and replacements
New doors and replacements across central Florida — Tampa, Orlando, Lakeland, Winter Haven, Kissimmee, Clermont, and everywhere between.
Repairs and service
Repairs and service within 40 miles of Sebring — Avon Park, Lake Placid, Wauchula, Arcadia, Lake Wales, Bartow, Frostproof and Winter Haven.
A tighter area on purpose. A broken spring needs somebody the same day, and an hour each way is not the same day.
Outside both? Put your ZIP in below anyway. We will pass it to somebody who covers you, or tell you plainly that we cannot — which beats waiting on a call that was never coming.
